Sattvik CCF Tea - Coriander Cumin Fennel Tea

CCF tea is a dosha balancing Ayurvedic Sattvik tea that I have everyday. Cumin due to its heating nature increases the fire element , however Coriander and Fennel both have cooling properties to balance the heat. This tea helps in the absorption of nutrients and stimulates the lymphatic system. In all the teas out there if there's one you need to have then this is it.

It is a simple tea made of just 3 ingredients - Coriander seeds, Cumin Seeds and Fennel Seeds. You can find all these at your local Indian grocer or even online. Indian stores are the best as the prices are very reasonable compared to online.

CORIANDER

Coriander is cooling, Anti inflammatory, helps digestion, gas, detoxifies - it has the ability to even bind with heavy metals in our body and flush it out of our system.

CUMIN

Cumin is warming, stimulates the pancreas, rich in magnesium, potassium, antioxidant, stimulates bile that helps break down fat, ignites the digestive fire, flushes out toxic waste

FENNEL

Fennel is cooling, helps with reducing bloating, heartburn, strengthens the Agni(fire) without aggravating the pitta, helps with digestion.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 tsp coriander seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1/2 tsp fennel seeds

4 cups water

STEPS

1. Heat water in a stainless steel pot and add the seeds.

2. Allow tea to simmer in medium heat for 10 minutes

3. Strain and enjoy the tea.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

This is a wonderful tea to try if you are looking to replace your morning coffee with a tea that is good for you. So go ahead and make yourself a jar of this tea just take 1/2 cup each of the CCF seeds add it to a mason jar close the lid and shake well ....enjoy.
